Bio
I am a native of Covington, GA. After months of contemplating my lack of purpose, I was confronted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the summer of 1993. On August 1, 1993, I received Christ as my Savior. With a great hunger and thirst for God's word, I recognized God's call on my life to ministry in the Spring of 1994. I have served in various capacities in the local church, including bus ministry, youth ministry, music ministry, and lead pastor. I was ordained into the ministry in October of 2002. During my pastorate at Pleasant Grove Church, I earned a BA. in Biblical Studies, MA. in Leadership and a Master's of Divinity from Luther Rice University and Seminary. I am currently working on my Th.M degree with a concentration in Theology and Church History at Liberty University. My future plans are to remain in the pastorate while continuing my education in a post-graduate program.
My Family

I absolutely adore and love my beautiful and talented wife, Rachel (nee Warnock.) She is a gifted musician and teacher. We have two awesome children, Micah and Lily, of whom my wife has the ministry of homeschooling. We have a faithful and frisky dog, Scruffie, and a somewhat temperamental, yet loving, cat, Possum.
My Passions
Not only am I passionate about my family, I am passionate about teaching the Word of God. I love teaching the Church. I believe that both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and are inerrant in the original writings. Through the providence of God, the Scriptures have been preserved and are the supreme and final and adequate authority in faith and life (Ps 19.7; 2 Tim 3.16; 2 Pet 1.21). For this reason I believe that the Word of God should be taught and preached without compromise and with enthusiasm. The Word of God coupled with the power of the Holy Spirit will create the change that our culture desperately needs. I am passionate about challenging and changing the culture. People need to know the truth. There are so many brazen attacks against the Word of God. So many Christians don't respond because they don't know how to respond. I maintain that believers should "always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you." 1 Pet. 3:15 (HCSB)
I am equally passionate about sharing the gospel with those that are without. What do people have apart from salvation in Jesus Christ? Sadly, nothing! The Church must reach out through the love of Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, compassion, and sacrificial service.
